Salt air is a materials decision

Point of Pines, Crescent Beach, Beachmont and the Revere Beach frontage sit inside the roughly 3,000-foot band where FEMA coastal guidance calls for 300-series stainless fasteners. Under 780 CMR the windborne debris region covers hurricane-prone areas within one mile of the coastal mean high-water line where design wind speed reaches 130 mph. Much of eastern Revere is in it.
